VICO MAGISTRETTIIt was a great honor to be invited by the Italian Cultural Institute to creative direct the Vico Magistretti retrospective. Working closely with curator Antonio Ametrano we designed, curated and produced the six week show. The Fondazione Vico Magistretti in Milan gave access to their archives and the selection of objects, archival images and original sketches and design manuscripts we attained our goal of creating an exhibition that told the character of the man and his work.
Using the architectural grid as starting point for the exhibition’s design, utility perforated hardboard was used to construct the display plinths, wall systems and carried over to the exhibition graphics even becoming a unique gift for attendees in the shape of a 3d postcard.
