CITIZEN:Citizen Founded in 2004 CITIZEN:Citizen was created by myself, Sweetu and Nicole Patel in Brooklyn NYC. It became a loved and sometimes controversial brand, producing a wide range of objects from designers across the world. At its heart CITIZEN:Citizen was passionate about beauty, craft and the power of objects to embody meaning. From 2006 I took over the business and built out the product offer bringing the work of Tobias Wong into the catalogue, as well as devleoping the brand language and visual identity, packaging and retail point of sale.
From lighting and furniture to jewelry and sex toys CITIZEN:Citizen used consumer goods as a medium for social critique and as such garnered tremendous international attention and regard. We produced limited and open editions, exhibitions, pop-up stores, product launches, seeling both wholesale and retail
