ArtMKT I was commissioned to design, produce, and install the main attendee lounge for the three-day ArtMKT Art Fair in San Francisco. The 2000 sq ft lounge anchors the fair as the central meeting place, cosponsored by SFCG and Arkitektura.

My strategy was to curate the most significant furniture in production today and display each piece with unique gallery text mimicking the work on display at the fair. A modular wall system was designed to demarcate the space and flow while also providing a back drop for some of the world’s most important furniture design.

Rotary veneer plywood was used for wall construction to create dramatic tension between the luxury pieces and the humility of a  material so commonly used in the furniture industry. With over 10,000 attendees over three days and execution achieved within only a 5-week lead-time, the project was a huge success and garnered the attention of the art world's cognoscenti.
